Swim Team – 2020

The Virginia Vale Swim Team is one of the most successful in the state by almost any measure. The team has won the Colorado Summer State Championship for 10 years in a row with countless club, league and state individual and relay records set (and broken) each year.

The best measures of success are seen each summer day as big kids cheer on little kids, and the little kids dream of growing up to be just like the big kids. The VV Dolphins are second to none!

Registration must be completed and payment submitted online prior to any child getting into the pool for practice or participating in any other team activity.  Only VV members in good standing may participate on the VV swim team. No exceptions.

Team communications including coaches’ contact information can be found on the Membership and Teams Communication page under the Membership Tab of the website. Note that you must be logged in as a member to access this page.

Summer Club Rules (2020)

The traditional eligibility cut off birthdate of May 15th will not be observed for the 2020 season.  The State Summer Club Swim Meet has been cancelled.  We will continue to monitor the guidelines for the summer and determine if there are any opportunities to compete in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions about the Metro League or CSSCSA bylaws, please contact our head coach Brian Davenport.

Team Suits (While we will do not have any 2020 meets scheduled, Swim n things is happy to place suit orders if swimmers would like a new dolphin suit for this practice season)

New team suits are selected every other year.  Swim and dive team members are encouraged but not required to wear the team suit at meets.

Our team suit for 2019-2020 is a Dolphin brand Reliance blue hive print suit.

2020 Meet Schedule

Due to our current health and safety guidelines, we are unable to schedule any meets.  We will continue to monitor the guidelines and assess whether we may be permitted to schedule a meet or exhibition as the summer progresses.

Team Social Events

  • Due to our current health and safety guidelines, we are unable to schedule any social events.  We will continue to monitor the information and rules provided and reassess if an opportunity arises to plan an event.

Parent Volunteers – (Due to Covid-19 group regulations – 2020 volunteers will not be needed at this time.  We will update you if we are given an opportunity to plan events that will require parent support)

Parent volunteers are essential to the success of the VV swim team, especially home meets. All parents should plan to volunteer a minimum of 1-2 shifts per swimmer each summer. Volunteer needs include timers, hospitality, runners, event numbers, and ribbons. In addition, volunteers are needed for social events and photos. For each volunteer session, families will earn one guest pass. Click here to sign up.
